Bonfire Mania

Thank you to all who attended our first BBQ/Bonfire/Insane drunkfest! We were so glad you all came out...we hope you all enjoyed yourselves! I don't have many pictures unfortunately, because Ed and I were too tipsy to really think of the camera until it was dark. As Ed would say, it's not a party until the cops show up. Well, they certainly did around 5 or 5:30 AM. They were totally cool though, so it's all good. Everyone prepare yourselves for another fire in about 3 weeks or so when Brian Reid comes back to the Nati for a visit. We're expeciting the next one to be quite large...good times! Thanks again for a great time!

Memphis in May Festival

Dear Lord! Another multi-day drunkfest! Beer, BBQ, Booze, Boobs...the essential 4 B's. It was a blast! We met our friends Andrea and Gordon down in Memphis to celebrate their friend's BBQ entry in the contest. Their booth or tent was called The Hogfather. It freakin' ruled! Complete with jello shots and a stripper pole...wooohooo! Never have Ed and I had such fun drinking draft beer and sweating our butts off! Thanks to Andrea, Gordon, Lance, Cheryl, Travis, The Hogfather crew and all of Memphrica. Except the fuckers who towed our car. Pictures to follow of course....

Cinco De Tequila

Dang! Cinco De Mayo was too funny. Ed, Paige, Angela and I went to a very small Mexican restaurant and had mucho tequila. It was my first te-kill-ya shot in about 8 years. I had gotten deathly ill one night and tequila was the last thing I had drank, so I had a big aversion to it ever since. The tender knew us from work and said he had a special tequila for me to try, it was top shelf expensive stuff, so I couldn't be rude and say no. It was actually really smooth and not terrible tasting. After that it's all a blur. Here is a pic of Paige eating queso like a kitty. A riot! The next day we went down to the Derby, that's a story for a later day.

Chicken and Booze in the Ghetto

Doods! Pub crawling in the Clifton ghetto was so wild! We saw a lady with a jug of bleach in one hand, a grocery bag in the other and tape over her mouth. That's right folks, tape over her mouth. We have no idea, truly. Then some old lady called us drunken monkeys and then asked for a dollar in the very next breath. Sweet! Aside from a puker, it was awesome!

Spring has sprung

Thank goodness the cold weather finally seems to be behind us. No more being a hermit! It's so nice to enjoy the outdoors again. We just got a bunch of cool stuff for our jeep and bike, so it looks like we'll be taking some road trips again soon. We need to have a bonfire/weenie roast in the near future. It's been so stressful getting the house ready for sale. Selling the house is way more stressful than buying it was, that's for damn sure. In a few weeks we are going to the Memphis in May International Festival, which is essentially a BBQ competition or meat-fest. We're meeting two of our best friends for the weekend, so it should be a grand time of overeating and overdrinking! Woohoo! Hope everyone's well.....

One And Done

Yet another night with Chicken and Booze. Omigod! I got sooooooo dee-runk! It was sad, seriously. I had 3 vodka and Red Bull's (no dislocated thumb this time!) and then about 6-7 beers. Luckily, I wasn't sick the next day. I was just a big lump, lazy as could be. I apologize to anyone that I "drunk dialed". I usually try to avoid the phone when I've been drinking, because I tend not to have any filter. So sorry if I called slurring and yelling! Peace out.

Happy St. Paddy's Day!

Or should I say, Happy GetdrunkongreenbeeronthedayeveryoneisIrish Day! I'm very Irish (no, I'm not Mexican like my Mom tells me), so I should be going out tonight to get piss drunk on Guinness, but that is pretty unlikely. Last night we went out with a few other couples and families for Jenn Nester's birthday. Ed and I had a great time. Good food, good friends, good beer...and oh my god, the cake! It was huge and oh so tasty! This weekend is our monthly pub crawl. We're hoping it's not going to be as cold as they're saying. Of course, it'll be warmer than the last one. Oy! It'll be awesome when it's summer and it's actually pleasurable to walk around drunk in between bars. The pub crawl will only have to compete with our bonfires/weenie roasts.
